Mutual fund AUM touches Rs 20.59 lakh crore in August
The Average Assets Under Management (AAUM) of the Indian Mutual Fund Industry stood at Rs 20.97 lakh crores in the month of August.

The AUM of the Indian Mutual Fund Industry has grown from Rs 3.26 trillion as on 31st March 2007 to Rs 20.59 trillion as on 31st August, 2017, more than six-fold increase in a span of about 10 years.
Indian Mutual Funds currently have about 1.59 crore (15.9 million) SIP accounts through which investors regularly invest in Indian Mutual Fund schemes.
AMFI data shows that the MF industry had added about 8.55 lakh SIP accounts each month on an average during the FY 2017-18, with an average SIP size of about Rs 3,275 per SIP account. Month-wise amount collected during FY 17-18 is as mentioned below:
