Motilal Oswal AMC launches WhatsApp transaction platform

Motilal Oswal Asset Management Company has launched WhatsApp transaction platform for new as well as existing investors. It is the first of its kind initiative by any fund house in India to do mutual fund transactions through whatsapp messenger, a release from the fund house said.

Investors can use WhatsApp to invest in any scheme from Motilal Oswal AMC. The investor through his/her registered number can initiate a transaction in Motilal Oswal MF schemes just by typing ‘Hi’. A customer can complete the entire process in less than two minutes and gets an instant transaction confirmation through the medium, the release said.

Investors can either invest lumpsum or through SIPs. The fund house said this feature is not a part of WhatsApp Pay and is different from using it as a payment channel.


Here is how the platform works:

• An investor should add Motilal Oswal AMC number (+91 9372205812) to his/her contact list
• Next, s/he should get on to WhatsApp, and type ‘Hi’ on the above number
• After sharing the PAN details, the investor should share his/her mode of investment, fund, amount etc
• Finally, authorise payment for the transaction through the payment link sent
