Mirae Asset India veteran Mahendra Jajoo joins Quant Mutual Fund: Report

Veteran fund manager Mahendra Jajoo has joined Quant Mutual Fund as an Executive Director after completing his transition from Mirae Asset Mutual Fund, Bloomberg reported.

Jajoo was previously with Mirae Asset Investment Managers India, where he spent more than a decade as chief investment officer (CIO) for fixed income. Under his leadership between August 2016 and now, the fund house Debt AUM rose from Rs 321 crore (as on August 22, 2016) to over Rs 32,000 crore (as on November, 30 2025) against the backdrop of a tough credit and interest rate landscape, Mirae Asset Mutual Fund said in a press release on December 9, 2025 announcing his departure.

Mirae Asset Mutual Fund announced the transition of its Chief Investment Officer – Fixed Income, Mahendra Jajoo, and named Basant Bafna to take charge of managing the fixed income portfolio.

Sandeep Tandon, founder of the Quant Group, declined to comment, Bloomberg reported.

According to the data from the Association of Mutual Funds in India, as of November 2025, Quant Mutual Fund had an AUM of Rs 96,110 crore across equity, debt, and hybrid funds. The fund house manages 29 funds, which include 21 equity funds, five hybrid funds, and three debt funds.
