ICICI Pru AMC's senior fund manager to join ITI AMC as CEO and CIO

ICICI Prudential AMC’s senior fund manager George Heber Joseph will join ITI Asset Management Ltd as the chief executive and Chief Investment Officer from November 19. He will be responsible for the investment and strategy for the company’s mutual funds and offshore funds.

ITI AMC is a part of Sun Pharma director Sudhir Valia-backed Investment Trust of India group that is also in the business of vehicle finance, SME finance, education & small loans, merchant banking, institutional & retail broking, insurance broking, debt securities. The company had filed for approval from SEBI for a largecap fund and a liquid fund in May this year.

"He (Heber Joseph) brings with him incredibly strong domain knowledge and varied experience which will be very vital as we chart out long-term ambitious plans to grow and develop our asset management business," says Valia.


Joseph had been with ICICI Prudential AMC since March 2008, last designated as Senior Fund Manager (Vice President Grade) and was managing to the tune of Rs 10,000 crores of equity assets.

Speaking of the task at hand of establishing a new AMC, Heber Joseph said, "We are starting with a clean slate with no legacy behind."
