HNI segment reports 8.21% rise in MF folios
As per a report by CRISIL research, the high net worth individuals or HNI (individuals investing Rs 5 lakh or more) segment saw a rise of 8.21%.

The rise in total HNI folios was led by the equity category (46% of total HNI folio base), which reported an addition of 0.85 lakh folios to 6.61 lakh folios. As per mutual fund experts HNIs have poured money into equity mutual funds over the last one year.
“Equity markets have been a key beneficiary of some of the positive developments that the economy has witnessed in the last one year. Most macroeconomic indicators have been favourable, be it in the form of consolidated fiscal deficit, improving CAD, inflation on declining trajectory or stable government at the center,” says Ashish Shanker, Head (Investment Advisory), Motilal Oswal Wealth Management.
