HDFC Mutual Fund launches HDFC MNC Fund

HDFC Mutual Fund has announced the launch of HDFC MNC Fund, an open-ended equity scheme following multinational company (MNC) theme. The scheme will follow a multi cap strategy with investment across market cap segments.

The New Fund Offer of the scheme will open for subscription from February 17 and will close on March 3.

The scheme will be managed by Rahul Baijal.


The minimum subscription amount for investment in these schemes is Rs 100 per application and any amount thereafter.

The scheme will invest predominantly in Multi National Companies (MNCs) across sectors and market cap segments. The scheme will be benchmarked against NIFTY MNC TRI (Total Returns Index). The scheme will have two plans: regular and direct. Each plan offers growth option and income distribution cum capital withdrawal (IDCW) option.

The scheme will follow bottom-up approach for portfolio construction. It will have a focused strategy of maximum 30 stocks as per current investment strategy.

The scheme is suitable for investors who are seeking to generate long term capital appreciation / income via investment predominantly in equity or equity related instruments of Multi-National Companies (MNCs). Investors who want to diversify the portfolio and invest in a portfolio having low overlap with broader equity indices and have an investment horizon of at least 3 years.
