Franklin debt plan investors to get another Rs 3,200 crore

Investors in the six debt mutual fund schemes of Franklin Templeton MF that are under winding up will get back the fifth tranche of money in the week starting July 12.

With this disbursal, Franklin Templeton would have paid off investors Rs 21,000 crore of the total AUM of Rs 25,214 crore in these six schemes, which is equivalent to 83% of total AUM of these schemes.
Investors in the six debt mutual fund schemes of Franklin Templeton MF that are under winding up will get back the fifth tranche of money in the week starting July 12. SBI MF, which has been appointed the liquidator for these schemes under winding up by the Supreme Court, will distribute another Rs 3,200 crore in the six schemes of Franklin Templeton in the coming week. The fund house has already distributed Rs 17,778 crore earlier in four tranches.

With this disbursal, Franklin Templeton would have paid off investors Rs 21,000 crore of the total AUM of Rs 25,214 crore in these six schemes, which is equivalent to 83% of total AUM of these schemes.
