Fidelity fund ties up with SBI

Fidelity Fund Management, one of the major players in the mutual fund industry, has entered into an agreement with State Bank of India, for distribution of its products.

MUMBAI: Fidelity Fund Management, one of the major players in the mutual fund industry, has entered into an agreement with State Bank of India, for distribution of its products.

S K Mishra, General Manager, Marketing, State Bank and Ashu Suyash, Managing Director, Fidelity Fund Management signed the agreement today.

Speaking on the occasion, Mishra said the bank is committed to bring to its customers a wide range of financial services and the bank's aim is to cross-sell more financial products to the customers.

"Mutual funds are the best investment vehicle for retail investors to participate in the equity markets," he said.

Suyash said growth in the Indian mutual fund industry will be driven by an increasing number of investors coming into the mutual fund fold . State Bank's large number of branches provides a platform to reach new investors.
