Edelweiss Mutual Fund has launched the Edelweiss Greater China Equity Fund through GIFT City.
Edelweiss Mutual Fund has announced the launch of the Edelweiss Greater China Equity Fund through GIFT City. Radhika Gupta, CEO of Edelweiss Mutual Fund, said the new fund feeds into the same underlying portfolio as the domestic Edelweiss Greater China Fund.

Sharing the update on social media platform X, Gupta said the fund is now available for online investment, with minimum investments starting at $5,000.

Edelweiss Greater China Equity Fund is an open-ended retail scheme under the IFSCA FM Regulation and is an open-ended fund of fund scheme investing in units of the Master Fund investing in an offshore jurisdiction.

The primary investment objective of the Scheme is to provide long-term capital appreciation by investing in JPMorgan Funds - Greater China Fund, an equity fund which invests primarily in a diversified portfolio of companies that are domiciled in or carrying out the main part of their economic activity in a country of Greater China region.

The operating expenses will be 0.30% Per Annum of NAV. The exit load of 1% will be applicable on or before 25 months. The minimum investment is USD 5,000. The fund will allocate 95-100% in the underlying fund and 0-5% cash and cash equivalents. The underlying master fund is JPMorgan Funds – Greater China Fund.

The redemption payout will be T + 5 business days. Edelweiss Asset Management Limited (IFSC Branch) will be the investment manager. Kotak Mahindra Bank will be custodian or DDP.

Edelweiss AMC Gift City fund management team includes Riddhish Shah, Ravikumar Thakkar, and Ajitkumar Paudel.
