DBS Chola Mutual Fund launches DBS Chola Small Cap Fund
DBS Chola Mutual Fund announced the launch of its DBS Chola Small Cap Fund, a three year close-ended fund.
Announcing the launch here today, R Rajagopal, Chief Investment Officer, DBS Chola MF, told reporters that small cap fund had lot of potential for the investors.
The fund would seek to generate long-term appreciation by investing predominantly in equity and equity related instruments of companies with small market capitalization, he added.
While detailing about the new fund, Rajagopal said the fund will not invest less than five percent of total assets in any single company and added that individual stock selection was the primary selection technique.
"Institutional interest in small cap has been going up in the past few years," he said.
"While choosing stocks, the fund will also look at Capable Management, Pricing Flexibility and potential for value unlocking," he said.
The scheme would offer both cumulative and dividend options and units will be offered at Rs 10 per unit. The minimum application amount will be Rs 5000 and in multiples of Re one thereafter.
The new fund offer (NFO), which opened yeseterday, closes on December 20, 2007.
