BSE Star MF processes record 3.6 lakh transactions on Feb 12

Leading exchange BSE today said its mutual fund distribution platform processed a record 3.6 lakh transactions yesterday, with a total value of Rs 750 crore.

The platform -- BSE Star MF -- has processed over one lakh transactions on eight occasions in February, the exchange said in a release.

BSE Star MF added 1.6 lakh new systematic investment plans (SIPs) in January 2018.


The platform "has processed a record 3.6 lakh transactions on a single day on 12th February 2018, Rs 750 crore worth of transactions," BSE said.

"BSE StAR MF has experienced an overall growth of over 565 per cent and in terms of SIPs registered on BSE StAR MF has experienced a growth of over 800 per cent in last two years for the same period.

"The BSE StAR MF exchange infrastructure is predominately catering to retail category of mutual funds industry i.e. 99.73 per cent in terms of transactions and over 76 per cent in terms of value of transactions," the exchange said.
