Baroda BNP Paribas Aggressive Hybrid Fund has turned Rs 10,000 monthly SIP since the start to around Rs 18.38 lakh in the last 8 years. This showcases the fund’s solid wealth-building potential, according to a press release by the fund house.

The fund marks the 8th anniversary with a dual achievement, which is the scheme’s Assets Under Management (AUM) has crossed Rs1,200 crore and delivered strong long-term performance that has consistently beaten its benchmark, the CRISIL Hybrid 35+65 – Aggressive Index.

Since inception, the scheme has delivered a CAGR of 13.05%, outperforming the benchmark over 3 years, 5 years and since inception. A Rs 1 lakh investment at inception would have grown to Rs 2.77 lakh by July 31, 2025, which is almost 2.8 times of its original value.

Further the scheme’s Sharpe ratio of over 1.02 highlights its ability to generate incremental returns per unit of risk. By combining equity growth potential with debt stability, the fund aims to generate both income and capital appreciation, the release said.

The fund is managed by Jitendra Sriram, Gurvinder Singh Wasan, and Pratish Krishnan. The fund maintains a 70% allocation to equity spread across large, mid and small-cap stocks, with the remaining invested in debt and quasi debt instruments to balance returns and reduce volatility. With a minimum SIP investment of just Rs 500, the fund makes it easy for investors to access its wealth creation potential.

Why hybrid funds work for investors


According to financial planners, hybrid funds such as the Baroda BNP Paribas Aggressive Hybrid Fund help cushion drawdowns during market declines, enabling investors to stay invested and avoid redeeming at market lows before reaching their financial goals. Registered investment advisors highlight that such funds can deliver risk-optimised returns over a medium-term investment horizon, the release said.
