Bandhan Mutual Fund has launched Bandhan Nifty Total Market Index Fund, an open-ended scheme tracking Nifty Total Market Index.

The new fund offer or NFO of the scheme is open for subscription and will close on July 5. The scheme will reopen for sale and repurchase on July 11.

The investment objective of the Scheme is to replicate the Nifty Total Market Index by investing in securities of the Nifty Total Market Index in the same proportion / weightage with an aim to provide returns before expenses that tracks the total return of Nifty Total Market Index, subject to tracking errors.


The scheme is benchmarked against Nifty Total Market TRI. The fund will be managed by Nemish Sheth.

The scheme predominantly invests in equity and equity related instruments pertaining to top 750 stocks across large, mid, small and micro cap companies in line with the investment objective of the scheme, while investing in stocks across market capitalization, which presents an opportunity for possible higher capital appreciation.

The benchmark (Nifty Total Market Index) of this scheme aims to track the performance of 750 stocks covering large, mid, small and microcap segments via a single index. Stocks that are part of Nifty 500 index and Nifty Microcap 250 index form part of the Nifty Total Market index.

The exit load of 0.25% is applicable, if redeemed on or before 15 days from the allotment date. The maximum total expenses ratio (TER) permissible under Regulation 52 (6) (c) is upto 1%.

The minimum application amount for lumpsum investment is Rs 1,000 and in multiples of Re 1 thereafter. The minimum application amount for SIP is Rs 100 and in multiples of Re 1 thereafter with minimum six instalments. The minimum amount for SWP is Rs 200 and in multiples of Re 1 thereafter.

The scheme will invest 95-100% in securities belonging to the Nifty Total Market Index (including stock & index derivatives) and 0-5% in debt and money market instruments.

The scheme is suitable for investors who are seeking to create long-term wealth over a long term and want investment in equity and equity related instruments belonging to Nifty Total Market Index.
