Aditi Kothari Desai elevated chairperson of DSP Asset Managers

Aditi Kothari Desai has been appointed Chairperson of DSP Asset Managers, succeeding her father Hemendra Kothari. With two decades of experience, Aditi becomes the first woman to lead the firm, continuing DSP’s 160-year legacy.

DSP Asset Managers has announced the elevation of Aditi Kothari Desai as Chairperson. She will be assuming the charge from her father, Hemendra Kothari, who had been at the helm of DSP Asset Managers Pvt Ltd since the firm’s incorporation in 1996. Aditi represents the fifth generation of the Kothari family and the first woman at the helm who carries forward DSP’s 160-year+ legacy in Indian financial services.

Aditi brings over two decades of hands-on experience in investments, sales, marketing and digital transformation domains. Her career began at Merrill Lynch’s investment banking group in New York, where she worked on M&A activities in the Financial Institutions Group, according to a press release.

Aditi joined DSP Asset Managers in 2002 and over the years has helped build and support DSP’s domestic business growth strategy, while also founding the group’s international business. She was instrumental in the digital transformation of DSP’s Asset Management Business. Aditi also serves as Chairperson of Compound Express, DSP’s fintech venture.

Aditi holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
