I have been investing Rs 1,000 per month in each of the following schemes through SIP:
ICICI Prudential Long Term Equity Fund
ICICI Prudential Value Discovery Fund
Reliance Tax Saver Fund
SBI Focused Equity Fund

I have one more SIP of Rs 3,000 per month in Axis Long Term Equity Fund.

I have been investing in these schemes for the last five years. I am 46 years old and my goal is to create around Rs 60 to 70 lakh in the next eight years . Will I be able to achieve my goal by investing in these schemes?

Neeraj Chauhan, CEO, The Financial Mall, responds:

We are assuming that you have selected these schemes in accordance with your risk appetite. A monthly investment of Rs 7,000 is not sufficient to accumulate Rs 60-70 lakh in the next eight to 10 years. You need to increase your investment to Rs 22,000 per month to achieve your target in 10 years.
