Will I be able to make Rs 1 crore in the near future?

I have invested Rs 1,000 via SIPs in both Birla Sun Life Pure Value Fund and Birla Sun Life Advantage Fund and Rs 2,000 via SIP in HDFC Capital Builder Fund. I started my SIPs in August 2016. Would I be able to make an amount of Rs 1 crore in the near future and in what time? Also, is any change in my portfolio required?

You are investing Rs 4,000 per month. It will take you a little more than 27 years to build a corpus of 1 crore, provided your investments return 12 per cent per year. You have picked two okay performers. Only BSL Advantage Fund has a good performance record.

It seems, you are a new mutual fund investor. If you are not familiar with investments and mutual funds, you should take the help of a mutual fund advisor. The person would help you with your investments, including choosing schemes, monitoring them and executing transactions.
