ICICI Prudential Equity and Debt Fund - Rs 5,000

Franklin India Prima Fund - Rs 3,000
SBI Pharma Fund - Rs 2,000
Birla SL Pure Value Fund - Rs 3,000
Reliance US Equity Opportunities Fund - Rs 3000
Reliance Equity Opportunities Fund – Rs 3,000

My target is to create Rs 10 crore in 20 years. Will I be able to make it with my current investments?

Dinesh Rohira, Founder and CEO, 5nance.com, responds:

Assuming a high-end growth rate of a portfolio at 18 per cent (20-year CAGR), to achieve a target amount of Rs. 10 crore in 20 years, you will require a monthly investment of about Rs 51,901 (assuming an effective rate of interest). With your current monthly investment of Rs 29,000, you will be able to make approx. Rs 5.59 crore over the same period.

Therefore, you can either increase your current investment approximately to Rs 52,000 or increase the tenure by three to four years to attain your goal of Rs 10 crore.
