Why is PGIM India Global equity opportunity fund underperforming? Why are all schemes of PGIM underperforming compared to other funds?
--Ravindra Deshpande

Raj Talati, Founder, ABM Investment, responds:

PGIM India Global Equity Opportunity Fund predominantly invests in PGIM Jennison Global Equity Opportunities fund, which currently has exposure to IT, Consumer Discretionary and consumer staples and more concentrated to Nasdaq stocks. The fund was restructured after being taken over by PGIM from DWS Pramerica in 2018. So it doesn't have that long history. But outperformance can be credited to early participation of fund managers in the US tech rally and concentration to nasdaq stocks.

Most PGIM schemes are doing well. Apart from the large cap scheme, other schemes are in the first quartile and have a decent performance.
