I am 33 years old. I have been investing in the following two schemes via SIPs since the last 1.5 years:
1) Aditya Birla Sun Life Frontline Equity Fund - Direct (G): Rs 1,500
2) SBI Magnum Midcap Fund - Direct (G): Rs 1,000
I want to start a fresh monthly SIP of Rs 2,500. Please suggest some good funds. Also, suggest your views on my choice of funds. I wish to create a corpus of Rs 1 crore in 20 years. Secondly, apart from this, I am also investing Rs 2,000 per month in Post office RD and Rs 1,000 in Sukanya Samridhi account for my daughter.

Ankita Narsey, a mutual fund advisor, responds:

You are doing great with your SIPs, Post Office RDs and Sukanya Samridihi Account. Both your current investment schemes are good performers. To achieve your target of Rs 1 crore in 20 years, you must increase your SIP amount with the help of SIP top-up facility. You could consider a smallcap fund like Franklin India Smaller Companies Fund or a multicap fund like Aditya Birla Sun Life Equity Fund, depending on your risk profile, for your fresh SIPs. Be disciplined with your investments to achieve your goal.
