I am investing Rs 2,000 each in HDFC Balanced Fund (hybrid aggressive) and Kotak Standard Multicap Fund (equity). I want to invest Rs 5,000 more per month via SIP for long term. Kindly suggest a few good funds.

Jitendra Solanki, Founder, JS Financial Advisors, responds:

You can consider a midcap fund like HDFC Mid Cap or Franklin India Prima Fund. But Stick to three funds for your investments and any additional surplus should be allocated to these only. Do not add too many funds only for the sake of diversification.
