Raghvendra Nath, managing director, Ladderup Wealth Management, responds:
You can create a mutual fund portfolio of largecap schemes, midcap schemes and smallcap schemes to invest this amount. For largecap schemes, you can look at HDFC Equity Fund, ICICI Prudential Bluechip Fund, and SBI Bluechip Fund. For midcap schemes, you can look at Kotak Emerging Equity Fund and HDFC Mid-Cap Opportunities Fund. For smallcap schemes, you can look at Franklin India Smaller Companies Fund, SBI Small Cap Fund, and Reliance Small Cap Fund. You should invest regularly in these schemes irrespective of the volatility.
