Volume Shocker! MFs lap up over 1 crore shares of these 6 stocks in January

In its recent review of mutual funds, ETMarkets has identified stocks that experienced a notable surge in the number of shares owned by mutual funds in January 2024 as compared to December 2023. Almost 18 stocks observed an increase of more than 1 crore shares last month. To refine the selection, only stocks that saw a price increase of over 15% since the start of January were taken into consideration, resulting in a carefully curated list of six stocks. It's important to mention that in January, HDFC Bank led the list in the net addition of shares with nearly 9 crore, bringing the total volume to about 136 crore but the stock price has fallen nearly 20% in over a month.
