I already have investments in the following funds: Franklin India Flexi Cap Fund, Mirae Asset Emerging Bluechip Fund, Kotak Flexi Cap fund. I started investing in these schemes three years ago. I want to start new SIPs. Suggest two to three schemes. I want 12% returns. My risk profile is moderate.

First, mutual funds do not guarantee returns. The performance of the schemes depends on the market conditions and investments made by the schemes. Over a long period of time, everyone assumes 12% returns for calculations. But the actual returns may vary.

We ask moderate investors to invest mostly in flexi cap funds. These schemes have the freedom to invest in different market capitalisations and sectors/themes based on the view Of the fund manager. They are ideal for moderate investors to create wealth over a long period.

You are already investing in two flexi cap schemes. If you are happy with them, you can increase your investment in them. You don’t need to invest in two schemes when you are investing a modest amount. More funds will result in portfolio overlap and it will be difficult to monitor their performance.
