Top 10 equity mutual funds with highest portfolio turnover ratio in March

There were around 273 equity mutual funds in the market, out of which 61 schemes had portfolio turnover ratio (PTR) of more than 100% in March. Here are the top 10 funds with a high portfolio turnover ratio, according to the data by ACE MF.

This flexi cap scheme had the highest portfolio turnover ratio of 650% in March. The scheme had a PTR of 600 in February.

This large cap fund had a PTR of 542% in March. In February, the PTR of the scheme was 557%.

The portfolio turnover ratio of this ELSS fund was 518% in March. The PTR of the scheme in February was 467%.

Six funds from Quant Mutual Fund - Quant Focused Fund (424%), Quant Flexi Cap Fund (393%), Quant Large & Mid Cap Fund (382%), Quant Mid Cap Fund (329%), Quant Value Fund (317%), and Quant Active Fund (278%) had high PTR in March.

WhiteOak Mid Cap Fund, a midcap fund, had a portfolio turnover ratio of 250% in March.

A higher portfolio turnover indicates constant buying and selling of stocks by the fund manager. Continuous buying and selling by the fund manager increases the costs and it may also drag down returns.
