Mutual fund investors lost upto 10% in September with the benchmark index - Nifty 50 down 5.56% in the same period. Here is a detailed breakup of funds that lost over 8% in the month of September (Source: ACE MF)

List of negative performers
The analysis further showed that there were nearly 666 funds in the said time period of which 634 funds delivered negative returns indicating that nearly 95% of the funds delivered negative returns.

Top laggards from tech sector
The top five losers were tech sector based funds with three funds losing over 9%. Tata Digital India Fund lost the most of around 9.80%. HDFC Technology Fund, WOC Digital Bharat Fund, ICICI Pru Technology Fund and Tata Nifty India Digital ETF FoF lost 9.30%, 9.28%, 8.94% and 8.82% respectively in September.
