I have chosen the following funds:
Kotak Select Focus Fund: Rs 1,000
HDFC Balanced Fund: Rs 1,000/-
Mirae Asset Emerging Bluechip Fund: Rs 1,000
SBI Bluchip Fund: Rs 1,000
I will invest in direct plans. Please give valuable suggestions.

You have chosen good mutual fund schemes to invest. Just make sure that they are in line with your risk profile. You have chosen a multicap scheme (Kotak Select Focus), balanced scheme (HDFC Balanced), midcap scheme (Mirae Emerging Bluechip Scheme), and largecap scheme (SBI Bluechip Fund). Multicap schemes are suitable for investors with moderate risk appetite, balanced and largecap schemes are for conservative equity investors, and midcap scheme is meant for investors with a high risk appetite. You can invest in largecap, balanced, multicap schemes with an investment horizon of minimum five to seven years, but you should have an investment horizon of at least seven to 10 years if you want to invest in midcap scheme. Just confirm whether the schemes match your risk profile and goals.
