I am a 32-year-old professional. My investment horizon is long term and I can take high risk. I want to build a corpus for my daughter's education (2.5 years old). Right now I am investing Rs 1,000 in HDFC Mid-Cap Opportunities Fund, Rs1,000 in ICICI Prudential Long Term Equity Fund (Tax Saving) and Rs 2,000 in L&T Emerging Businesses Fund. Do I need to make any changes in my portfolio?

Since your investment horizon is long term and you have a high risk appetite, don’t worry about the choice of schemes right now. Try to increase your investment amount. When you cross Rs 10,000 per month, you may think of adding more schemes to your mutual fund portfolio.
