I would like to replace ICICI Prudential Value Discovery Fund with one of the following funds:

1) Invesco India Contra fund
2) SBI Magnum Multicap FUnd
3) Motilal oswal Most Focussed multicap

ICICI Pru Value Discovery Fund has been underperforming against its benchmark and category for the period of 1 and 3 year. Should I hold on or stop SIP?

Ankita Tanna Narsey, Founder, Oaktree Financial Advisors, responds:

ICICI Prudential Value Discovery Fund is a multicap fund with current exposure to largecap being 83 per cent. This fund has been a consistent performer except for the last 1 and 3 years. However, I suggest you to not make a hurried decision to switch funds based on past 1-3 year returns. Hold on to this fund for a longer duration. (You haven't mentioned your holding period for this fund). The other funds mentioned by you are also good and if you have any additional amount to invest (not switching from ICICI Pru Value Discovery) you can for SBI Magnum Multicap Fund.
