I am a 27-year-old investor and my goal is wealth creation. My investment horizon is more than 18 years and I have an aggressive risk appetite. I am investing in Kotak Select Focus Fund, Mirae Asset Emerging Bluechip Fund, Motilal Oswal Multicap 35 Fund, and SBI Small Cap Fund.

As per the new Sebi norm, Kotak Select Focus Fund is now in the multicap category. Now, I have two multicap schemes. Should I stop the Kotak fund and continue with Motilal Oswal or should I continue with both?

Subhash Chawan, Managing Partner, Moat Wealth Advisor, responds:

You have selected mutual fund schemes as per your risk appetite. So, no changes are needed. You can continue to invest in both the multicap funds. Since you have an investment horizon of more than 18 years, you don’t need to stop your SIPs, irrespective of the market conditions. Try to increase your SIP amount once a year or once in two years.
