I am a moderately aggressive investor. I have been investing in:

  • SBI Small Cap Fund(SIP): Rs 1,000 since March 2019
  • UTI Focused Equity Fund (SIP): Rs 500 since August 2021
  • SBI Balanced Advantage Fund(SIP): Rs 500 since August 2021
  • SBI Bluechip Fund (lumpsum): Rs 15,000 in Feb, 2019
I have also invested around 15,000 in stocks.

I am 34 years old. I'm looking to make around Rs 1 crore from my investments in the next 15-25 years. What changes do I need to make to my portfolio?

To begin with, you should take an online quiz to find out your risk profile. Moderately aggressive is very subjective. Try to define your risk profile sharply. It will help you to choose mutual funds better.

Two, when you are investing a modest amount, it is better to invest in one scheme. Investing Rs 1,000 and Rs 500 in too many schemes is pointless. Try to invest in a good scheme with a long term record. Also, make sure that it matches your risk profile.

We do not recommend investing directly in stocks because we believe that most investors do not have the necessary expertise. Do not expose yourself to unnecessary risks. Seek the help of a mutual fund advisor if you do not understand the basics.
