I have been investing through SIP of Rs 4,000 in each of these mutual funds for less than a year:
ICICI Prudential Bluechip Fund
Axis Midcap Fund
Mirae Asset India Equity Fund
Axis Focused 25 Fund
HDFC Small Cap Fund
My investment horizon is 8-10 years. How is my portfolio? Do I need to add or drop any mutual fund schemes?

Dinesh Rohira, Founder and CEO at 5nance.com, responds:

An SIP or Systematic Investment Plan is an excellent way to create wealth over a long period. But it is imperative to define your goals in value terms first and identify your risk taking capacity. This will help you to understand the suitability of mutual funds. As you have an investment horizon of 10 years, you can invest in equity mutual fund schemes. You have also diversified your portfolio across different scheme categories. I will ask you to continue with your investments. However, you should identify your risk profile and try to align your portfolio. I would also advise you to refrain from reviewing your portfolio frequently as it may lead to wrong decision.
