Quant Small Cap Fund, the largest fund managed by Quant Mutual Fund, added 10 stocks to its portfolio in November. Of these 10, six were PSU stocks including SBI, HUDCO, Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders, MOIL, ONGC, and Cochin Shipyard

Apart from these six PSU stocks, the smallcap fund added , Welspun Corp, Welspun Enterprise, Om Infra, and Punjab Alkalies and Chemicals.

The smallcap fund increased its exposure in 11 stocks in November which includes Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail, Afcons Infrastructure, Aster DM Healthcare, BASF India, Bayer CropScience, Gujarat State Ferilisers & Chemicals, Jio Financial Services, Minda Corporation, RBL Bank, Reliance Industries, Sequent Scientific.

The smallcap fund added 50.19 lakh shares of RBL Bank and 15.23 lakh shares of Reliance Industries. Around 10.06 lakh shares of Jio Financial Services were added to the portfolio, followed by 7.82 lakh shares of Gujarat State Fertilisers & Chemicals.

Quant Small Cap Fund decreased its exposure in only three stocks — Balrampur Chini Mills, BLS International Services, and Gillette India. Around 24.29 lakh shares of BLS International Services were sold. Around 1.16 lakh shares of Balrampur Chini Mills and 54,420 shares of Gillette India were sold from the portfolio in November.

The fund made no change in exposure of around 60 stocks, which included Aadhar Housing Finance, Adani Enterprises, Adani Power, Bata India, Bikaji Foods International, Juniper Hotels, Life Insurance Corporation,NCC, Orient Hotels, Sanofi India, and Zydus Wellness.

In November, the smallcap fund made a complete exit from Primo Chemicals by selling 45.56 lakh shares.

The smallcap fund had an AUM of Rs 27,161 crore as of November 2024 with around 84 stocks in the portfolio. The scheme is managed by Ankit Pande, Vasav Sahgal, Sanjeev Sharma.

It is benchmarked against NIFTY SMALLCAP 250 TRI. The minimum investment amount is Rs 5,000 and in multiples of Re 1.

The primary investment objective is to seek to generate capital appreciation & provide long-term growth opportunities by investing in a portfolio of smallcap companies.

Quant Small Cap Fund invests a majority of the portfolio in smallcap stocks and the portfolio is constructed from both medium-term and long-term perspective. This scheme is apt for long-term investors. The bulk of the portfolio is invested in high-growth companies with attractive valuation and is relatively under-owned.
