I am 36 years old. I have a medium to high risk appetite. I am investing through SIPs of Rs 4,000 each in five mutual funds
Aditya Birla Sun Life Equity Fund
Mirae Asset Large Cap Fund
L&T Midcap Fund
Invesco India Contra Fund
HDFC Small Cap Fund

My investment horizon is 20 years. Please review my mutual fund portfolio. Also suggest any changes in the schemes, if required.

Dilshad Billimoria, Director and Chief Planner, Dilzer Consultants Pvt Ltd, responds:

As you have a long investment horizon of 20 years, you can replace HDFC Small Cap Fund with either SBI Small Cap Fund or with Axis Small Cap Fund. These are better mutual funds. You can continue to invest in them for a long-term and can consider to add an index fund to your portfolio, as part of the asset allocation.
