I have an investment in SBI Magnum Multiplier Fund via an SIP for seven years. Now the amount has doubled. Should I withdraw or wait for some more years? I invested in this scheme for my son’s higher studies. Also, I want to know which scheme is better among SBI Magnum Multicap Fund, SBI Magnum Multiplier Fund and SBI Emerging Businesses Fund.

Ankita Tanna Narsey, Founder, Oaktree Financial Advisors, responds:

You can withdraw the amount if your goal has been achieved or if it is close enough. In case you need the money for your son's higher studies after a year, you can withdraw the same and park it in a liquid fund till you actually need the money to pay for his fees. Among the schemes you mentioned, SBI Magnum Multicap Fund is a better option for you.
