Dilshad Billimoria, Director and Chief Planner, Dilzer Consultants Pvt Ltd, responds:

Markets have been down in the last 2.5 years and the economy is in a slump. To benefit from equity investments, you should have a horizon of over 10 years or more. If you have a long-term horizon, you may consider replacing Motilal Oswal Multicap 35 Fund with Mirae Asset Emerging Bluechip Fund, ICICI Prudential Large & Mid Cap Fund with Kotak Standard Multicap Fund, and Aditya Birla Sun Life Frontline Equity Fund with Axis Bluechip Fund
