I am a conservative investor aged 26. I want to invest in the below mentioned mutual funds through SIPs. Is this portfolio right to create Rs 50 lakh corpus after 10 years.

1) Rs 5,000 in SBI Focussed Equity Fund
2) Rs 5,000 in Axis Long Term Equity fund
3) Rs 5,000 in Axis Bluechip Fund
4) Rs 5,000 in HDFC Small Cap Equity Fund

I will invest in direct plan of these schemes.

Pramod Sharma, partner, Citrine Financial Advisors, responds:

SBI Focused Equity Fund and HDFC Small Cap Fund are more aggressive as compared to large cap and multicap funds. According to your risk profile being a conservative investor you may have a mix of large cap, multi cap and balanced category fund. Here are some good funds which match your risk profile.

ICICI Prudential Balanced Advantage Fund

Mirae Asset India Equity Fund
Kotak Standard Multicap Fund

Assuming your total monthly SIPs of Rs 20,000 grow at 12 per cent per annum, you will be able to create Rs 46.60 lakh after 10 years.
