I am 27 years old. I have started the following SIPs:
1.SBI Bluechip Fund: Rs 2,000
2.DSP BlackRock Tax Saver Fund: Rs 2,000
3.DSP BlackRock Small and Midcap Fund: Rs 2,000
4.DSP BlackRock Equity Fund (Direct): Rs 2,000
My investment horizon is five to seven years. Please suggest some mutual fund schemes for short term investments of two to three years.

Harpreet Singh, a Certified Financial Planner, responds:

Starting SIPs with five to seven years is a good horizon. For two to three years, you can invest in long-term debt funds, with likely softer interest rates, they have the probability of outperforming the short-term debt funds in this time horizon. Seek a qualified financial planner to get help you in schemes selection.
