I have investments in UTI Ultra Short Term Fund. The scheme was affected due to DHFL crisis. It has investments in Avanse Financial Services which was with DHFL. I understand that DHFL has sold 80 per cent stake in the company to US-based Warburg Pincus. Does it mean DHFL crisis will not impact UTI Ulta Short Term Fund in future.

Joydeep Sen, managing partner, wiseinvestor.in, responds:

As you said, DHFL sold Avanse Financial Services. That is, the ownership of the company has changed. However, the extent of exposure the fund has in the company increased from 6.17 per cent in end of May to 7.05 per cent in end of June. This is because a fall in fund's corpus that has decreased from Rs 3,790 crore in end of May to Rs 3,329 crore in end of June. You need to keep a watch on the scheme.
