I want to invest Rs 20,000 to Rs 30,000 in largecap mutual fund schemes for the next 35-40 years. Please suggest me the best largecap scheme in the market. I want to create a corpus of minimum Rs 20 crore.

Raghvendra Nath, managing director, Ladderup Wealth Management, responds:

Assuming an annual return of 12 per cent, if you invest around Rs 30,000 for the next 40 years, you will reach closer to your target of Rs 20 crore. Indian equities have the potential to grow at the rate of 12 per cent over the long term. You should review your investments in equity mutual funds regularly to generate efficient returns. You can select out of these largecap schemes:

Axis Bluechip Fund

HDFC Equity Fund
Reliance Large Cap Fund
SBI Bluechip Fund

Also, I would recommend you to invest in a few multicap schemes like Motilal Oswal Multicap 35 Fund and Kotak Standard Multicap Fund.
