I am 29 years old. My monthly income is Rs 31,000. I have been investing Rs 5,000 in five mutual fund schemes through SIP since last one year. My portfolio is :

HDFC Top 100 Fund -Regular Plan (G)
ICICI Pru Value Discovery Fund -Direct Plan (G)
Kotak Bluechip Fund -Regular Plan (G)
SBI Bluechip Fund -Direct Plan (G)
UTI Equity Fund -Direct Plan (G)

My goal is to create a corpus of Rs 50 lakh in 10-15 years. I can take high risk.

How much should I invest to achieve my goal? Should I make any changes to my mutual fund portfolio ?

Raghvendra Nath, managing director, Ladderup Wealth Management, responds:

To create a corpus of Rs. 50 lakh over next 15 years, you should do an SIP of Rs 8,000 every month (assuming an annual return of 15 per cent) or alternatively you can look at increasing the SIP amount every year.

You can look at adding couple of midcap funds in your portfolio instead of UTI Equity Fund and ICICI Pru Value Discovery Fund.

Principal Emerging Bluechip Fund and HDFC Small Cap Fund are good performing midcap funds.
