How much corpus will these mutual funds help me to create in 10-15 years?

I am new to mutual funds. I want to ask questions about the investments that I have made recently. I can take risks.

My investments are:
Axis Long Term Equity Fund: Rs 5,000
Mirae Asset Tax Saver Fund: Rs 5,000
Kotak Bluechip Fund: Rs 3,250
SBI Bluechip Fund: Rs 3,250
Mirae Asset Emerging Bluechip Fund: Rs 2,000

Are these funds balanced? I am 35 years old. I would like to continue my investments for another 10-15 years if nothing unfortunate befalls. How much corpus will I be able to accumulate by the end of 10 years?

First, I will answer you the mix of holdings you have in your mutual fund portfolio:

Mirae Asset Tax Saver and and Axis Long Term Equity Fund have 24 per cent investments in common stocks; Mirae Asset Tax Saver and SBI Bluechip Fund have 45 per cent investments in common stocks; Mirae Asset Tax Saver and Mirae Asset Emerging Bluechip have 74 per cent invested in common stocks.


Kotak Bluechip and SBI Bluechip have 53 per cent investments in common stocks; Kotak Bluechip and Mirae Asset Emerging Bluechip have 39 per cent investments in common stocks; SBI Bluechip and Mirae Emerging Bluechip have 35 per cent investments in common stocks.

That means your mutual fund portfolios are overlapping. It means you are over-leveraged in the some stocks and it will limit your diversification.

I would ask you to invest in SBI Bluechip Fund, Axis Midcap, Mirae Asset Tax Saver.

Now, your second query: the value of your investments

If you invest Rs 18,500 every month for 10 years and earn an annual return of 12 per cent, you would make around Rs 42.55 lakh. If you invest Rs 18,500 every month for the next 15 years and manage to earn an annual return of 12 per cent, you would be able to make Rs 92.42 lakh.
