I want to create a mutual fund portfolio. I will be able to invest Rs 1.5 lakh and I want to earn Rs 2,000 per month with this investment. I don’t like to invest in banking and entertainment sectors as well as the tobacco industry. Please help.

Since you have not mentioned your investment horizon, I can not comment much about a portfolio. If you want to withdraw Rs 2,000 per month, you can choose a systematic withdrawal plan (SWP). If you want to avoid investing in certain sectors, you can opt for sectoral funds like pharma and healthcare, FMCG, technology, infrastructure, etc. If you are looking for Shariah Compliant Funds, you can invest in Tata Ethical Fund.
