Gold and silver ETFs gained investor interest as their assets under management (AUM) jumped over two-fold in the last one year. Here is a detailed breakup, according to a report by Franklin Templeton Mutual Fund.

Gold ETF AUM
As of July 2026, the AUM of gold ETFs was recorded at Rs 1.73 lakh crore compared to Rs 0.68 lakh crore in the same time period a year ago. There was a change of 2.6 times in the AUM of gold ETFs.

Silver ETF AUM
As of July 2026, the AUM of silver ETFs was recorded at Rs 0.78 lakh crore compared to Rs 0.23 lakh crore in the same time period a year ago. There was a change of 3.4 times in the AUM of the silver ETFs.

The commodities AUM percentage of passive AUM in July 2026 was recorded at 16% whereas in July 2025 it was reported at 7% indicating a year on year jump.

The passive AUM percentage of total AUM in July 2026 was recorded at 18% compared to 16% in July 2025 indicating a jump on a yearly basis.

Gross sale and redemption in gold ETFs
In July, the gross sales in gold ETFs was recorded at Rs 10,257 crore whereas the redemptions were recorded at Rs 8,721 crore. In the last 12 months, the gross sales was recorded at Rs 1.29 lakh crore whereas net sales were recorded at Rs 26,947 crore.
