After the sharp rise in leading indices since the start of the year, fund managers have now adopted a cautious approach while picking stocks. They preferred sticking to value buys or companies that could possibly benefit from the implementation of the Goods and Services Tax (GST). Due to these factors, a few mid-cap stocks have attracted fund managers' attention while a large amount of fresh investments also found their way into attractive initial public offerings (IPOs) like Eris Lifescience, CDSL and AU Small Finance Bank, which recently hit the market.
