Our data suggests that there are four equity mutual fund schemes that delivered more than 20% returns in the 10-year horizon. Among these four schemes, Nippon India Small Cap Fund delivered the highest return of 22.38% in 10 years. Mirae Asset Emerging Bluechip Fund was ranked second in the list with 22.31% returns. SBI Small Cap Fund and Axis Midcap Fund delivered 21.24% and 20.11% returns respectively in 10 years. The performance of the selected schemes was analyzed on a rolling return basis.
Here’s how these schemes performed:
Nippon India Small Cap Fund
The scheme has completed 12 years and delivered 22.38% in the 10-year horizon. This small cap scheme is benchmarked against Nifty Smallcap 250 - TRI. It is managed by Samir Rachh and Kinjal Desai. On a trailing return basis, the scheme has beaten its benchmark across one, three, five, seven, and 10-year horizons. In the last one year, the scheme delivered 5.80%, whereas the benchmark delivered a negative return of 5.97%.

This large & mid cap scheme has completed around 13 years and delivered 22.31% in the 10-year horizon. The scheme is benchmarked against NIFTY LargeMidcap 250 - TRI. It is managed by Neelesh Surana and Ankit Jain. The scheme has underperformed in the last one year. It has delivered a negative return of 8.70%, compared to a negative return of 3.64% by the benchmark. In three years, the scheme delivered 20.68% returns, compared to 21.14% by the benchmark. In the five, seven, and 10-year horizons, the scheme has managed to outperform its benchmark.

SBI Small Cap Fund
This small cap scheme is the oldest fund and delivered 21.24% returns in the 10-year horizon. The scheme is benchmarked against S&P BSE 250 Small Cap - TRI. It is managed by R Srinivasan. The scheme has managed to outperform vis-a-vis its benchmark across one, three, five, seven, and 10-year horizons. In the last one year, the scheme delivered a return of 8.13%, compared to a negative return of 5.30% by the benchmark.

This mid cap scheme has completed around 12 years and delivered 20.11% returns in the 10-year horizon. The scheme is benchmarked against S&P BSE 150 MidCap - TRI. It is managed by Shreyash Devalkar and Hitesh Das. On a trailing return basis, in one year, the scheme has underperformed. In the last one year, the scheme has delivered a negative return of 7.45%, compared to a negative return of 4.67% by the benchmark. In a three-year horizon also, the scheme has underperformed the benchmark. In the five and 10-year horizon, the scheme has outperformed its benchmark.
