I am 25 years old. I have started SIPs of Rs 2,000 each in direct plans of Reliance Small Cap Fund and HDFC Small Cap Fund. My aim is to make Rs 50 lakh in the next 10 years. I am an aggressive investor. Will these funds help me to achieve my goal?

Shifali Satsangee, Founder, Funds Vee’da, responds:

To create a corpus of Rs 50 lakh in the next 10 years, assuming an annualised return of 15 per cent, you have to increase your SIPs to Rs 18,000 per month from the current Rs 4,000 per month. You can add a midcap scheme like DSP BlackRock Midcap Fund and a large and midcap scheme like Mirae Asset Emerging Bluechip Fund to your portfolio. Also, step up your existing SIPs in the smallcap schemes you are already investing.
