I am 36 years old and I wish to retire when I am 60. I am investing via SIPs in these schemes for the last four months:

Kotak Select Focus Fund: Rs 4,000
Motilal Oswal Most Focussed Multicap 35 Fund: Rs 4,000
Mirae Asset Emerging Bluechip Fund: Rs 4,000
Reliance Small Cap Fund - Direct: Rs 4,000

My investment tenure is minimum 20 years and I have an aggressive risk appetite. Can my portfolio make a retirement corpus of Rs 3 crore.

Dinesh Rohira, Founder & CEO, 5nance.com, responds:

Most schemes in your portfolio are among the top-performing funds in their respective category. However, assuming an annual return of 15 per cent over a period of 20 years, you will have to invest an additional sum of Rs 3,790 to make Rs 3 crore.

We will recommend you to replace Reliance Small Cap Fund with HDFC Small Cap Fund. This fund has a reliable history and the ability to contain downside risk as reflected in the recent period.
