I am investing in three mutual funds schemes: Rs 5,000 in Reliance Tax Saver Fund, Rs 2,500 in DSP BlackRock and Rs 2,500 in Aditya Birla Sun Life Tax Relief 96. I have a investment horizon of 10 years. Please confirm if my choice of funds is OK for long term investment and great returns.

Harpreet Singh, Founder, Vserv Capital Services, responds:

Reliance Tax Saver is a consistently good performing fund in ELSS category and Birla Sunlife Tax Relief 96 is also good. However, you have not mentioned the name of the fund in DSP BlackRock. 10 years is a good horizon for equity investments and your funds will generate good returns in the long term.
