Can I invest in Franklin Bluechip Fund?

I want to know the future of Franklin India Bluechip Fund and Franklin India Balanced Fund. Are these funds good for someone with a moderate risk profile? My goal is to create 12.5% of my retirement corpus in a horizon of 10 years. I am specifically looking at the worthiness of these schemes with respect to its peers.

You have chosen a large cap mutual fund and aggressive hybrid equity fund. These schemes are meant for conservative equity investors or investors with a very low risk appetite. Multi cap mutual fund schemes are suitable for investors with a moderate risk appetite. Since these schemes invest across market capitalisations and sectors, they also have the potential to offer superior returns than large cap and aggressive hybrid schemes.

It is not clear why you want only 12.5 per cent of your retirement corpus from equity mutual funds. Ideally, your long-term goals like retirement should be met mostly by investing in equity schemes.
