I am just a beginner and trying to learn how and in which mutual funds to invest. I am trying to take some risk and invest a lumpsum in a smallcap fund for a period of three to five years. Can you suggest a suitable one? Right now, I am invested in Kotak Select Focus Fund-growth and Aditya Birla Sun Life Equity Fund and CPS ETF.

Smallcap schemes invest in small, unknown companies. They can be extremely risky and volatile, but they also have the potential to offer superior returns. You should invest in smallcap schemes only if you have a very high risk tolerance and an investment horizon of seven to 10 years.

You are investing in good schemes. However, we will not be able to comment whether they are suitable for you because you have not given your goals, investment horizon and risk profile.
